THE ROLE
Within the Shipping branch, you will hold the position of Group Collection Manager.
Based at the headquarters in Marseille, you will functionally oversee the global Collection activities and hierarchically report to the Group Head of Credit Management.
REPONSIBILITIES
Your main responsibilities will include :
Lead the Collection efforts alongside all operational teams, in a highly decentralized context, ensuring that payments from customers are received as quickly as possible
Escalate problematic situations to the Commercial teams at the Headquarters on a weekly basis (at minimum)
Identify and anticipate potential risks of financial losses due to customer non-payment, and ensure corrective actions are implemented
Improve and maintain the quality and relevance of Group collection strategies and processes, particularly through the CMA CGM Group Collection tool
Develop and maintain close collaboration with various departments involved in the Quote-To-Cash and Order-To-Cash processes outside of the department but impacting Collection (billing, customer dispute management, matching and allocating received funds, etc.). This collaboration aims to improve these processes for faster collection
PROFILE & QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 10 years of experience in customer AR Collection activities. Knowledge of the Shipping industry is a plus
Attention to detail, with the ability to master very operational aspects while being capable of summarizing and communicating on complex situations
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a commercial mindset and a high level of integrity
Ability to manage and motivate multicultural teams dispersed worldwide, within a matrix structure
Problem-solving focus, ability to manage crisis situations and make decisions under pressure
Fluency in French and English
